Germany!

I'm currently - inconveniently - wide awake at midnite in Munich, Germany.

Which is AWESOME...but I realized I don't know the other guys room numbers, only Ryans, (to see if anyone else is awake) and he was awake, with the same issue. What do you do, in a foreign country for the first nite, not knowing the language, anywhere to go or do, and its midnite and you're wide awake.... hmmmmm.....

- Recap the past day on the Road Journal!! - Thats what you do!

So, on Saturday, it was about 75 degrees in OC, when we arrived at LAX - it started raining, and we were in the longest line (which began outside) to check in at the Lufthansa Airlines ticketing counter. We finally got our tickets, convinced them the sit us all next to each other (for some reason whenever we fly, we're all seated far from one another, and ya know, even though we see each other 24/7 - we just cant go a second NOT next to the other)

After a bit of a delay due to the weather, we boarded the plane, and I was pleasently surprised to see how nice it was! It seems most foreign airlines are much nicer than domestic American ones...a bit more leg room, personal tv's and MUCH better food. (which makes for a nice cozy 11 hour flight) So after Chris and I watched a German movie called "Special Escort", I passed out for a couple hours (might've happened 30 min. in to the movie haha). After my short nap, I hung out with Gabe and Mike, in the downstairs restroom lounge (yes, theres a downstairs restroom lounge - loose emphasis on lounge - but a lot of space, where the restrooms happen to be haha) Then it was back to my seat and sleep until we landed.

We got picked up by reps from WB Germany, checked into our hotel, and headed to the Beer Garden, that was within five minute walking distance! So everything that we had imagined Germany to be, came true in a matter of minutes. BIG glasses of beer, tons of people all just hanging out, enjoying the day, sitting next to strangers on a big spread of benches - loving life. So we got right to it. Grabbed some beers and Bratwurst and had an amazing lunch. We walked around the park for awhile, then headed back to the hotel, and all passed out. Big mistake, considering it was only 8pm. Which leads us to the current situation.

Hmmm well, I'm going back to watching CNN and try to get back to sleep, so I can be on schedule tomorrow (By the way, international travel for me, is always an educational experience, because CNN ends up being the only English speaking channel on the TV. Works out nicely haha)

gooodnite!
