So I'm posting this postcard a little late, seeing as the Utah show was now a couple weeks ago, but better late than never!
As far as the tour is concerned, we are currently getting ready to leave out hotel in Houston TX and go to the show in Austin! We enjoyed a much needed two weeks off at home and hit the road again. The shows have been great, though no amazing or crazy stories materialized to report. We did see Superbad, which Ryan and I both agreed was amazing. It's a really funny, well written movie. The characters are developed and full of depth, which puts it on a higher level, than its peers, such as American Pie, making immature, silly jokes, more witty and and smart. Which in my oppinion is difficult to do. Anyways, definitely go see it if you haven't had a chance.
Lets see, what else is going on....We released "Devils & Angels" in Taiwan and Japan. And "Built To Last" is currently at #1 on the radio charts in Japan, which is just completely mind boggling/amazing. So we go over to Japan for two weeks in October to do Tv shows/showcases/promo, and then in January do a full concert tour. The Japanese version also has two bonus tracks, "New Heart" and "Sick". So if you can get your hands on that as an import, or visit/live in Japan, you will be able to enjoy new Melee songs! (hopefully enjoy haha...) As far as America, we have some radio shows throughout September...such as, September 15 with Colbie Colait at the Filmore in SF, sponsered by Alice FM, who is AWESOME for playing Built to Last so much, and giving us love. And we're being added to more stations across the country, just check out our website or myspace for more info on that and how to help us get more spins! AND then we do a tour with Matt Nathanson, who we are all big fans of, so definitely check him out, if you don't know him already at myspace.com/mattnathanson
AND now for the long awaited, much anticipated, postcard from Salt Lake CIIIITTTYYY!!!!
Peace

i love that you guys are getting recognition for your work. you are well deserving of it. keep being awesome and it will only get better!
Lauralee and I are in that video postcard. LOL I didn't even see Ryan videotaping. I guess I'm observant. LOL Salt Lake City rules when Melee is there! :)
That is really very cool that you are doing so well in Japan. Looks like they have good taste over there.
And... Superbad gets a two thumbs up from the movie critics? The new Siskel & Ebert.
You can tell your touring buds (your bandmates, Ingrid, and Matt) that I did not any of you exsisted until I saw you at The Loft on October 20th. (My friend had an extra ticket, so I went). I'm now a fan of all of you. I've asked for all of your CDs for my birthday, or at least the downloads. So, next time any of you come to Atlanta I can sing along (Matt made a comment about people not singing along... I didn't know a word-sorry). I felt out of my element but LOVED the music. Even more so, it was inspiring to see the passion you all have in what you do. It really hit me how important in life that is. I hope my children find that type of passion in what they choose to do with their lives. It was eye opening as a parent to see that. I'm hoping next time any of you come back this way, to be front and center, rocking out with my family! (I'm a young(er) mom with older kids. The oldest on the cusp of making decisions as to what he wants to do with his life, hence why the timing of really of seeing you really struck a chord with me.)
I think I'm now addicted to LIVE music... simply amazing.
I wish you all the best, whatever you all deem that to be :o).
